10/1/10 - October, 2010 via a letter to the PCCF: It was seven years ago that Dana-Farber Cancer Institute embarked on its most ambitious fundraising effort yet with Mission Possible: The Dana-Farber Campaign to Conquer Cancer. Setting a goal of $1 billion-the largest ever for a New England hospital-we knew that the Campaign's success would be contingent on the generosity of our community of loyal supporters. It was a great challenge, but we knew that you were always standing beside us, and we are profoundly grateful for your steadfast support for the Institute's lifesaving mission.

Today, I am thrilled to announce that that your incredible generosity has brought the Mission Possible Campaign to a record-breaking conclusion, with more than $1.18 billion raised as of its official close September 30.

Annual PCCF Scholarship Luncheon

2008:

11/13/08 - Via the Holden Landmark: Former Princeton resident Patrick J. Comer died on March 9 from pancreatic cancer. His friends, co-workers and family wanted to do something in his memory that would honor Patrick’s legacy – his courage, his compassion and willingness to help others. Comer was diagnosed with the disease in January 2006 at the age of 33. Throughout his 27-month battle with the disease, Comer displayed a strong spirit and an inordinate amount of courage, never questioning “why me,” instead saying, “Why not me,” said his dad, Jim Comer. Jim and his wife Cheryl live in Princeton.
